The 500th episode of Armin van Buurens radioshow ‘A State of Trance’ obviously needs a celebration, and a small one would do no justice to the success. The most popular danceminded radioshow worldwide exists for over ten years now and has grown to over 15 million listeners in 26 countries weekly. The events for the celebration are officially announced by a smashing trailer, created by Dancefoundation.
Armin: “I am very proud and happy with the 500th edition of the show. The way trance sounds today differs from ten years ago, but it has preserved the same feeling. Trance has evolved over the years. Nowadays trance is influenced by other styles like techno, minimal and techhouse. It is nice to have experienced this development and we will celebrate trance in the biggest way possible! Since we make A State of Trance for the fans, we felt they should be able to give their input on the line-up. For a period of one month, our listeners were given the opportunity to suggest DJ’s for the five events of A State of Trance. The result is a program with a wide range in variety of artists, not only specialized in pure trance but also progressive, tech-trance and uplifting trance. And off course the classic sound will not be left out! All live registrations of the five editions are to be viewed on special internet channels.”
